LAURA:
I began working with Jen because we’re about the same age and I needed experience with musculoskeletal issues. Jen has been responsive to specific needs I have and while initially she started with a slow approach to make sure I could handle what I was doing, she quickly went into pushing me to where she knew I could go. My chiropractor said my spine is now moving easier in my adjustments, I mostly have zero pain in my joints, SI joint, and spine. I can literally feel my body being strong. Not just getting stronger, but being strong. I am forever grateful and love working with her. I know she’s got my back.
JON:
I wanted to build on my overall size but had no clear path. Jen helped me slow down and find a way to make every rep count. Jen showed me the importance of stretching, warm up reps with the correct weight for the movement, and load management for my body. I learned new movements I was unsure about or felt funny doing before working with Jen. She also worked with me to find different holds or positions to make the exercises I was doing hit harder. We worked on recovery and touched a little on food, so my energy levels went up and I was able to see more definition in a short time. I learned that killing your self day in and out in the gym is not how to get big, and that food and recovery play a bigger role and I wish that I started my gym training with Jen. I had a lot of setbacks that could have been avoided if I had her knowledge.
KAITLIN:
When I started with Jen, I was struggling with sticking to a workout routine. I stopped and started exercising several times because I either got frustrated by the lack of results or I would do a workout wrong and injure myself. Being healthy is important to me, but it always felt like exercise was either a waste of time or a great way to get hurt. It’s been wonderful meeting with someone who knows how to get results and how to get those results safely. I have been surprised by how quick my progress has been and how much more energetic I feel. I wasn’t sure how I would fit workouts into my schedule, but Jen’s guidance has really helped me. Jen tailors workouts with your goals in mind. Her routines feel personalized, and she always checks in to ensure that you are comfortable with what you’re doing both physically and mentally. Her encouragement has been so helpful and has been vital for keeping me on track.
MOLIKA:
Before working with Jen, I struggled with figuring out what to do. I got anxious to start new exercises. I was afraid I would use the wrong form and hurt myself. I was in need of guidance. The Intro Pack gave me an affordable option for helping me learn the fundamental exercises which was very important and impactful. I have never felt this strong physically. Mentally I feel great, I am definitely more focused. I feel a lot more confident going to the gym and start my workout. I am not afraid to try new exercises I found on social media like before.
Jens coaching style very easy to follow. She made it simple but impactful. She gave me time to do each exercise. My goal is to lose some weight and get stronger without focusing exclusively on the number on the scale too much, rather focus more on how I feel physically and mentally. If you’re on the fence: DO IT! IT IS SO WORTH IT!!!!
KYLE:
Jen Bergin has been my personal trainer for over 5 years. Jen is best described as someone who understands the balance that is required when participating in a training program. Jen knows when it is best to push me past the limits that I self impose and also knows when the program should be throttled back to allow time for recovery. Another way to describe Jen is adaptable. She is able to create workouts that are challenging and varied, and can also change things if needed to accommodate for shifting, real life circumstances. Continuing to work with Jen for so many years is a testament to how much I value her as both a trainer and a friend.
KIM:
Jen is an incredible fitness coach and she's great at what she does! I began working with her earlier this year after recovering from a knee injury and I was afraid to return to the gym on my own. She has been so helpful, understanding and encouraging. She truly is passionate about what she does and she's committed to helping her clients succeed. She always strives to give you the best and safest experience and every work out is individualized to meet your needs, abilities and restrictions.
ELLEN:
I’ve been going to the gym for as long as I can remember. 45 minutes on the treadmill, 3-4 days per week... Then I met Jen. I’ve been training with Jen for two years, and in that time she has transformed the way I work out. The treadmill is now something I do on my “off” days. Jen has taught me strength-training, HIIT cardio, and to work just about every muscle in my body (and I’ve felt it the next day!). Training with Jen has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I never thought I would love working my core, be able to deadlift more than my body weight, enter a kettlebell competition, and start my 40’s in the best shape of my life. Jen is more than a trainer, she’s life changing!
BARBARA:
Jen came highly recommended and I started in home training with her in 2016 when my former trainer moved away. We worked together for over a year before I moved too far away to continue our arrangement. Fortunately, we reconnected years later when I realized we both lived in New Hampshire. Unfortunately, Covid hit just before we were scheduled to meet in person so we were forced to resort to a virtual platform. I wasn’t sure how well training online would work out but now I love it as I can train with her no matter where I am.
Jen really knows her stuff: both exercise and nutrition. She’s so much fun to work with and doesn’t mind when I complain (which is pretty much every session!).
I’ve lost about 20 lbs since working with Jen. She has encouraged me to eat healthier and track my food and exercise, while also helping me increase my strength and stamina. She’s helped me understand how certain foods impact my health and my fitness goals.
Jen makes working out less miserable! Jen is very reliable, really loves her job and is very motivating both as to exercise and nutrition.
JACK:
When I decided that I wanted to join the United States Air Force, I knew that I was too unfit to be able to do well in Basic Military Training (BMT). And so, about a year before I left for BMT, I began working with Jen to help me prepare for joining the military. Before I met Jen, I was very underweight, barely above the minimum weight required for joining the Air Force.
I began seeing Jen once a week so that she could teach me new exercises to increase my muscle mass and to build me up so that I would be ready for BMT. In addition, Jen helped me bulk up by providing me with a balanced exercise plan that I could do at home to help strengthen my entire body, and by helping me upgrade my diet, so that I would be consuming the necessary proteins and other nutrients I needed. Keeping contact with Jen was very easy; if I had any questions, I could just send her an email and she would answer back in a very timely manner.
The three parts of the BMT physical tests are pushups, sit-ups, and a mile and a half run. For my final physical exam, I achieved a total of 71 pushups in a minute and 63 sit-ups in a minute, both of which achieved the maximum scores for their respective categories. Cumulatively, I achieved over a 90 on the physical exam, which achieves the physical fitness achievement level of “Thunderbolt”.
Without Jen’s help, I would have definitely struggled a lot more on the physical exams as well as the daily exercises I did during BMT. Thanks to both Jen and the Air Force, I would consider myself physically fit, and I have much more confidence in myself than I did when I first started working with Jen. Jen’s knowledge and motivation helped me get to where I am today.
